Use case

Use AI on Work You Would Not Paste Into Chat

The work that could benefit most from an agent is often the work people hesitate to place in an ordinary chat box: contracts, customer exports, internal reports, unpublished research, financial tables, and creative archives.

The answer is not to pretend every task can stay offline. It is to make the boundary explicit: keep the durable working site on your machine, choose the model for each task, preserve the source files, and use Vault Mode when only trusted connections should be allowed.

Short answer

Agenaxy is designed for sensitive, file-based work because:

  • Files, chats, rules, run history, and artifacts live on your machine.
  • You choose a cloud or local model per task.
  • A cloud model receives the context for the assigned task, not unrelated chats or the rest of your machine.
  • The agent works on copies of supplied files, leaving the originals untouched.
  • Every run leaves an editable artifact and a structured action record.
  • Vault Mode blocks unapproved network access at the operating-system level.

Work that creates the most hesitation

Client agreements, NDAs, licensing terms, procurement documents, and policy drafts often need comparison, extraction, or summarization. The useful questions are concrete:

  • Which clauses limit publication or data use?
  • What changed between two versions?
  • Which obligations survive termination?
  • Where are defined terms used inconsistently?

A local-first workbench lets the documents remain on the user's machine while the task is performed. For the strictest boundary, a Vault chat can use a local model and block unapproved outbound tools.

Customer and operations exports

Order, refund, support, and complaint exports can contain names, addresses, phone numbers, and operational details. A useful agent could group issues, calculate changes, and produce a weekly report, but copying rows into a cloud chat can be the wrong boundary.

With Agenaxy, the exports remain local, the originals stay untouched, and the result can be a report plus a checkable table. A local model inside Vault Mode keeps the model step on the same machine.

Internal research and strategy

Research notes, interview synthesis, decision logs, roadmaps, and half-formed strategy are valuable precisely because they are incomplete and specific. They benefit from cross-document reasoning, but they may not belong in a general-purpose cloud workspace.

Agenaxy can keep the working context and produced artifacts on the local machine. Standard mode can call a cloud model for an explicitly assigned task; Vault Mode is available when only trusted model and tool connections are acceptable.

Creative archives and unpublished material

Source material, drafts, transcripts, reference images, and unpublished ideas can be organized into a topic library or turned into new drafts. The archive should not have to become a vendor-hosted workspace for an agent to work across it.

A local-first workbench keeps the durable archive and outputs with the creator, regardless of which model is hired for a particular task.

Financial and analytical work

Forecasts, budgets, pricing models, survey data, and internal performance tables often require transformation rather than conversation. The valuable result is a checkable spreadsheet, chart, or report, with enough evidence to understand the calculation.

Agenaxy pairs the artifact with an action record of the steps and files touched, so review is not limited to trusting a polished answer.

A practical workflow

1. Hand off the files

Select the documents or tables needed for the task and describe the result you want. Do not move the whole working site into an Agenaxy cloud account; there is no Agenaxy-hosted workspace for your production files.

2. Choose the boundary

Use Standard for everyday work with a cloud or local model. A selected cloud model receives the assigned task's context.

Use Vault Mode when the run should connect only to trusted destinations. Approve a model on this machine or on a server you control. Unapproved model connections and outbound tools are blocked.

3. Let the agent work on copies

Agenaxy works on copies of the files supplied to the chat. The originals remain unchanged while working files and outputs are written separately.

This is an integrity boundary, not only a privacy feature. A useful agent should not require risking the source material in order to automate the task.

4. Review the artifact and action record

The run leaves a document, table, chart, or other artifact you can continue editing. It also leaves a structured action record covering the plan, tool calls, file reads and writes, and produced files.

The user can inspect the evidence, check the artifact, and decide what to keep.

Three example handoffs

Review an NDA in a Vault chat

Input: an NDA stored on the local machine.

Request: “Find every clause that limits our right to publish benchmarks.”

Boundary: Vault Mode with a local model.

Output: a clause summary saved as an editable file, plus the record of steps and source sections used. Unapproved network access remains blocked.

Build a weekly operations report

Input: order, refund, and complaint exports.

Request: “Build the weekly report in the same format as last time and group complaints by issue.”

Boundary: Standard with a selected model, or Vault with a local model if customer data must not reach a remote model.

Output: a report and a checkable data table. The exports supplied to the chat remain unchanged.

Turn a creative archive into a topic library

Input: notes, transcripts, drafts, and source material.

Request: “Organize this into a topic library and draft three openings for the next video.”

Boundary: chosen per task. The archive and resulting files remain on the local machine.

Output: a tagged library and three editable drafts, with an action record attached to the run.

Standard or Vault?

Question Standard Vault Mode
Can I choose a cloud model? Yes Only if its connection is explicitly trusted
Can I use a local model? Yes Yes
Can network tools run? Subject to normal permissions Only approved destinations; unapproved outbound tools are blocked
Where does durable work live? On your machine On your machine
What happens when a connection is not allowed? The selected configuration governs the task The step stops and explains why

Vault Mode is not simply “local model mode.” It is a trusted-connections boundary. A local model is the strictest configuration, while an approved server you control can also be permitted. If task context is sent to that server, the server receives it.

What this design protects

Durable ownership

Files, chats, rules, run history, and artifacts remain on the user's machine rather than becoming part of an Agenaxy cloud workspace.

Scope

A selected cloud model receives the context for its assigned task, not unrelated chats or blanket access to the rest of the machine.

Source integrity

The files supplied to a chat are copied for the run. Original source files stay unchanged.

Connection control

Vault Mode blocks unapproved model, tool, connector, and script destinations at the operating-system level.

Reviewability

The action record makes the run inspectable beyond the final prose or spreadsheet.

What it does not guarantee

  • Choosing a cloud model means the provider receives the task context sent to it.
  • Approving a remote server in Vault Mode means that server receives the task context sent to it.
  • No technical mode can determine by itself whether a workflow satisfies a contract, law, or internal policy.
  • The quality of an agent's conclusion still depends on the model, instructions, source material, and human review.
  • Vault Mode cannot protect a copy that the user deliberately exports elsewhere.

These limits are part of the boundary, not fine print. The goal is explicit control rather than an absolute privacy slogan.

How to describe a beta workflow safely

The private beta request form is a separate website submission to Agenaxy. Do not paste confidential file contents, customer records, credentials, or production data into the form. Describe the shape of the workflow instead:

  • What kind of files are involved?
  • What result should the agent produce?
  • Which parts require review?
  • Would you use a cloud model, a local model, or Vault Mode?

Key takeaways

  • Sensitive work often needs artifacts and evidence, not a disposable chat answer.
  • Agenaxy keeps the durable working site on the local machine.
  • Standard mode supports task-scoped cloud or local model use.
  • Vault Mode restricts the run to trusted connections and blocks unapproved network access.
  • Source files supplied to a chat remain untouched.
  • Every run leaves an editable result and a structured action record.

FAQ

Can I use a cloud model with local files?

Yes. In Standard mode, a selected cloud model receives the context needed for the assigned task. Unrelated chats and the rest of the machine are not part of that model call.

Can I keep a task entirely on my machine?

Yes, when the task can use a local model and local tools. Vault Mode with a local model is the configuration in which no model context needs to leave the machine.

Does Vault Mode allow a model on my own server?

Yes. Vault Mode uses a trusted-connections allowlist. A model on this machine or on a server you control can be approved. A remote approved server still receives the context sent for its task.

What happens if a Vault step needs an unapproved service?

The step stops and tells you why instead of using an unapproved model or service.

Will Agenaxy modify my original files?

No. It works on copies of the files supplied to the chat and writes working files and artifacts separately.

Is the action record the same as a chat transcript?

No. It is a structured record of the run: plans, tool calls, file reads and writes, and produced artifacts.

No. It is a technical boundary for model, tool, and network connections. Users still need to evaluate the workflow against their contracts, laws, and organizational policies.

Is the beta request form private local storage?

No. The form is submitted to Agenaxy. Describe the workflow without including confidential content or real production data.
